The International Nursing and Health Sciences Symposium (INHSS) is an annual symposium hosted by Department of Nursing and Department of Nutrition, Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya since 2020. The theme of 2023 INHSS symposium would be “Post-Pandemic Empowerment of Health System and Community Support: Strengthening Self-Management, Care Delivery and Continuity”

We proudly present six fabulous speakers from five countries: the United Kingdom, The Republic of Czech, Canada and Indonesia:

1. Prof. Mark Hayter, Ph.D., RN., M.Med SCI., FRCN., FAAN (Manchester Metropolitan Associate University-UK) - “The Implementation of Chronic Care in Maternal and Child” (to be confirmed)
2. Associate Professor Malcolm Boyle (Para Medicine Education School of MDP - Paramedicine Griffith University Australia) - “The Update on Emergency Management of Patients with Chronic Condition” (to be confirmed)
3. Dr. Ns. Lilik Supriati, S.Kep., M.Kep (Departement of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia) - “Self-Regulating Model-based on Uncertainty in Illness Theory on the Psychological Wellbeing of Breast Cancer Patients”
4. Professor Miroslav Hajek, PhD. (Czech University of Life Science, Prague, The Republic of Czech) - “Public Utilization of Forest Ecosystem Services in the Post-Pandemic Era”
5. Associate Professor Bronwen Powell (Penn State University, USA) - “Decolonising nutrition practice and research: listening to local knowledge”
6. Dr. Nia Novita Wirawan, STP., M.Sc (Department of Nutrition, Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia) - “The potential of locally underutilized food for tackling malnutrition: ensuring sustainability and feasibility”

The expected participants of this conference are health practitioners, academicians, and students worldwide, particularly in nursing, nutrition and public health. Participants are expected to share knowledge, skills and technology in the health sector via oral presentation and paper publications in international journals indexed by Scopus and SCImago, Indonesian journals indexed by SINTA, and e-proceedings with ISBN.
